smart_stats_tools
The smart-stats-tools website houses software for the analysis of structural magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) software developed by members of the SMART group. Currently the website is home to the SuBLIME software. SuBLIME is an automated method for segmenting incident multiple sclerosis (MS) lesion voxels between baseline and follow-up MRI studies. Users of the software upload pre-processed T1-weighted, T2-weighted, proton density (PD) and fluid-attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR) volumes from a baseline and follow-up study to the SuBLIME web interface on the website. In 3 seconds, the SuBLIME software produces a probability map of incident and enlarging lesion voxels for the user to download. The SuBLIME software is to our knowledge the only fully-automated software for segmentation of incident and enlarging MS lesions.
The smart-stats-tools website is continually growing. We are currently working to implement batch processing with the SuBLIME software. Our next projects are to implement the OASIS and White Stripe software. OASIS is a fully automated method for segmenting MS lesion voxels from a single MRI. White Stripe is a method for normalizing the intensities in an MRI volume. As the SMART group continues to develop methods for the analysis of structural MRI, the software for these methods will be implemented on the smart-stats-tools website.
